Your Google Business Profile is doing 60% of your marketing. Make it work.
Most independent auto shops have a half-finished GBP — wrong primary category, missing services, no hours for stat holidays, three blurry photos from 2019, zero posts in the last year. Google notices. Customers do too. We fix all of it for $149, once.
What's included
| Categories audit | We confirm your primary category (Auto Repair Shop / Tire Shop / Oil Change Service / Mechanic / Brake Shop / Transmission Shop) and add up to 9 secondary categories that match the services you actually sell. |
|---|---|
| Services list | Up to 25 services written out with the correct GBP-recognized names, plus a one-line description per service. Pulls more long-tail traffic than the default category does. |
| Hours & holidays | Regular hours, special holiday hours for the next 12 months (Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving CA, Remembrance Day, Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year's, Family Day ON, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day). |
| Attributes | Wheelchair accessible, women-owned, LGBTQ+-friendly, free Wi-Fi, payments accepted, languages spoken — every attribute Google offers for the auto-repair vertical, set or explicitly declined. |
| Photo audit | We flag low-quality / wrong-aspect photos, recommend which to delete, and post a starter set of 6 photos you provide (storefront, bay, team, logo, work-in-progress, completed job). |
| 30-day post schedule | 12 GBP Posts (offers, updates, FAQs) drafted and pre-scheduled across the next 30 days. After day 30 you can keep posting yourself or upgrade to Review Engine for ongoing. |
| Q&A seeding | 5 high-intent questions answered from the shop owner's voice (e.g. "Do you do diesel?", "Do you take walk-ins?", "Do you do safeties?"). Pre-empts customers asking publicly. |
| UTM-tagged website link | Your GBP "Website" button gets ?utm_source=gbp&utm_medium=organic so you can finally see GBP traffic separately in Google Analytics. |
How it works
| Day 0 | You add troopers@troopersauto.com as a Manager on your GBP (one click in business.google.com). |
|---|---|
| Day 1–2 | We audit the current state, write the new categories, services, hours, and posts, and send you a one-page diff for approval. |
| Day 3 | You approve (or send edits — one round included). We write everything live to your GBP. |
| Day 4 | You provide 6 photos via email or shared folder. We upload, geotag, and label. |
| Day 5 | 30 days of GBP Posts go into the schedule. We hand back a one-page summary + a "what to do next" list. Manager access is removed unless you keep us on for Review Engine. |
Why it's a separate SKU
The Site Rebuild ($497) includes a basic GBP sync — primary category + the same hours that go on the website + a verified link. That's enough for a shop that already has its GBP in decent shape. If your GBP is stale, half-filled, or hasn't been touched in two years, the Tune-Up is the right starting point regardless of whether you ever rebuild your website.
Frequently asked
I don't have access to my own GBP — the previous web guy claimed it.
Common. Step zero is reclaiming ownership via Google's verification process (postcard, phone, or email — usually 5–7 business days). We walk you through it on the kickoff call. The $149 doesn't start until access is in your hands.
Will this get me to the top of the map pack?
Maybe. The map pack is ranked by proximity, relevance, and prominence — we move all three the right direction (relevance via categories & services, prominence via posts & photos), but proximity is fixed by your shop's address. If you're already in the top 5 for "auto repair near me" in your neighborhood, expect a smaller bump than a shop that's currently invisible.
Do I need a website to do this?
No. The Tune-Up works on a GBP that points to a Facebook page or no website at all. It still moves the needle. Adding a real website (Site Rebuild $497) is a separate decision.
What about reviews?
Out of scope. We don't touch reviews on the Tune-Up — that's a separate engine (literally, see Review Engine $79/mo) and it's an ongoing process, not a 5-day job.
Refund policy?
If your GBP is suspended during our work and the suspension is caused by something we changed, we either reverse the change or refund the $149 in full. Suspensions caused by pre-existing policy issues (fake address, ineligible category) are not refundable, but we'll tell you on Day 1 if we see one coming.
A 15-minute call is enough to confirm fit and start the access handoff. We'll come back with a one-page diff inside 48 hours.
